Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Military cemetery in Dallas, United States.

Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery is a burial site spanning approximately 638 acres near Mountain Creek Lake, with rows of white headstones set against green landscape. The grounds currently offer 85,778 casketed burial sites and 31,918 columbarium niches for cremated remains.

The cemetery opened on May 12, 2000, establishing the sixth national cemetery in Texas. This expansion provided an important burial option for veterans in a growing region.

The grounds feature 54 memorial installations created by various organizations honoring military personnel and conflicts from American history. As you walk through the cemetery, you can pause at these tributes to learn about the stories they represent.

The grounds are accessible and offer ample parking for visitors paying respects to veterans and family members. It is recommended to visit during established hours and check at the entrance for any current guidelines.

Two Medal of Honor recipients, Sergeant Candelario Garcia and Colonel James L. Stone, are buried here among other military figures. Their graves represent some of the most decorated individuals resting at this location.
