Pipeline Express, Steel roller coaster in Grand Prairie, Texas, United States
Pipeline Express was a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Over Texas featuring white tracks mounted on blue support structures. The ride operated individual sleds in a connected train configuration that moved along the track layout.
The ride was built in 1992 by manufacturer Bailey Manufacturing and opened at Six Flags Over Texas. It closed after operating for less than two months due to safety concerns that led to its permanent removal.
The roller coaster represented early 1990s engineering approaches to family entertainment, with individual sleds designed for single riders.
Riders needed to meet a minimum height requirement to board the ride. Each cycle was relatively short, making it suitable for visitors seeking a gentler coaster experience.
This coaster featured an unusual configuration where the lift hill was positioned at the end of the track rather than at the start. This reversal created a different experience compared to typical coaster designs riders encountered elsewhere.
