AT&T Stadium, American football stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The AT&T Stadium is an American football venue in Arlington, Texas, defined by its retractable roof and two 300-foot (91 meters) arches. The structure includes multiple tiers of seating, boxes, and a central field enclosed by those defining arches at a height of 32 meters.
The facility opened in 2009 to replace the Texas Stadium, increasing capacity from 80,000 to as many as 105,000 with standing room. The new construction marked a shift toward modern multipurpose arenas in professional sports across the United States.
The building displays contemporary art in hallways and common areas, including large installations that visitors discover as they move through the venue. Many fans use these works as photo opportunities before games start or during breaks.
Visitors enter the stadium through several gates, with designated areas for parking, shops, food services, and medical facilities. Accessible elevators and ramps connect different levels so that all parts of the building can be reached.
The interior contains two high-definition video screens measuring 72 feet (22 meters) tall and 160 feet (49 meters) wide, suspended directly above the playing surface. This setup offers every visitor in the venue an unobstructed view of replays and graphics during the game.
