College Park Center, Multi-purpose arena at University of Texas, Arlington, United States

College Park Center is a low-rise arena on the UT Arlington campus, its long facade a band of dark blue glass panels between lighter blue-grey metal cladding, with reddish-brown and tan brick sections to the left and a taller tan stone block at the right. Inside, a lower concourse rings the court and an upper horseshoe concourse overlooks it.

In early 2005, UTA President James Spaniolo pushed for a new arena to replace Texas Hall, and students approved a $2 per hour fee to fund it. Groundbreaking took place on March 5, 2010; Carrizo Oil & Gas gave $5 million that fall, the largest single gift in university history. The $78 million building, designed by Dallas firm HKS, Inc., opened on February 1, 2012, when the men's and women's basketball teams both beat UT San Antonio before 6,228.

The center serves as the home venue for UTA Mavericks basketball and volleyball teams, as well as the Dallas Wings of the WNBA. It functions as the gathering place where the university community watches its athletic programs compete.

The arena sits in the College Park District, where three parking garages serve the surrounding residence hall, apartments and restaurants. The lower concourse rings the court and the upper one forms a horseshoe, so seats in the upper bowl are reached separately. Graduation ceremonies for UT Arlington and area high schools also fill the building.

The building incorporates environmentally conscious features such as low-emittance windows and reflective roofing to reduce energy consumption. These design choices earned the facility LEED Gold certification for sustainability.
