College Park Center, Multi-purpose arena at University of Texas, Arlington, United States
College Park Center is a modern indoor sports facility at the University of Texas in Arlington designed to accommodate around 7,000 spectators. The interior features two concourses surrounding a central court, plus specialized training areas, two practice courts, and extensive weight training rooms for athletes.
Construction began in March 2010 with a budget of around 78 million dollars. The facility opened to the public in February 2012 and became the new centerpiece for the university's athletics programs.
The center serves as the home venue for UTA Mavericks basketball and volleyball teams, as well as the Dallas Wings of the WNBA. It functions as the gathering place where the university community watches its athletic programs compete.
The facility is easy to navigate with clear signage throughout and logical flow between sections. Arriving early for events is recommended to secure nearby parking and explore the venue comfortably without crowds.
The building incorporates environmentally conscious features such as low-emittance windows and reflective roofing to reduce energy consumption. These design choices earned the facility LEED Gold certification for sustainability.
