University of North Texas Discovery Park, Research facility in Denton, Texas.

The University of North Texas Discovery Park is a research facility in Denton that houses engineering and information technology programs in a large modern building. The location includes laboratory spaces, workshops, and offices for faculty and students working at this separate campus site.

The facility opened in 2004 on the site of a former Texas Instruments location, beginning as an expansion of the main campus. The conversion from an industrial site to an educational venue shaped how the university developed its engineering programs.

The Center for Technology Development and Transfer at Discovery Park strengthens connections between academic research and industrial applications through multiple departments.

The location is accessible by car from Denton and offers parking for visitors and students. Shuttle services also connect the facility to the main campus if you do not have your own vehicle.

The Materials Research Facility contains specialized microscopes that enable three-dimensional characterization and processing of materials at the molecular level. This equipment allows researchers to examine materials in extraordinary detail.
