Pioneer Hall, Sports and fitness building on the Texas Woman's University campus in Denton, Texas, United States

Pioneer Hall is a three-story, 140,000-square-foot brick building on the Texas Woman's University campus in Denton, Texas, completed in 1997. It is topped by a prominent gray-domed rotunda and holds Kitty Magee Arena, a multipurpose gymnasium with standard seating for 1,800 that can be raised to 2,700.

Groundbreaking for Pioneer Hall took place on March 8, 1996, and the $15.5 million building was finished by spring 1997, then dedicated in 1998. It was the most recently built structure on the TWU campus as of 2013. Kitty Magee Arena, named for TWU athletics innovator Kitty Winter Magee, was renovated in 2005 with new lighting and in 2009 with a replaced floor.

The arena is named for Kitty Winter Magee, a TWU athletics innovator. Besides intercollegiate basketball, gymnastics and volleyball, it hosts intramural and recreational sports, high school basketball and volleyball, summer camps, and TWU commencement ceremonies, so the same floor serves both sport and graduation.

Pioneer Hall sits on the TWU campus in Denton, with the main entrance through the gray-domed rotunda. Fitness facilities are free for TWU students and open to fee-paying members of the public. The first floor holds the athletic training room, team locker rooms and classrooms; the second floor has the racquetball courts, a climbing wall and a weight room, and the third floor two aerobics and dance studios.

Pioneer Hall's Kitty Magee Arena is named for Kitty Winter Magee, a TWU athletics innovator. The arena floor was replaced in 2009, four years after new lighting went in during a 2005 renovation. The building also holds a climbing wall and racquetball courts on its second floor.
