St. Patrick's Catholic Church

St. Patrick's Catholic Church is a wooden building in Loxley, Alabama, built in early 20th-century style and located on Highway 90. The structure occupies a modest plot of land on the eastern side of this main road through town.

The building was constructed in 1924 to serve Catholic workers who had migrated from the Midwest to this area. It received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The building now serves as the town's public library, showing how religious structures adapt to new community needs. People gather here for reading and learning, keeping the space alive with daily activity.

The structure was originally known as St. Raphael before it took its current name. It was part of a group of four mission churches that later consolidated into the St. Patrick parish now based in Robertsdale.
