Seibert Stadium, Collegiate football stadium in Homewood, United States.
Seibert Stadium is a multipurpose sports stadium on the campus of Samford University in Homewood, Alabama, with seating for around 6,700 spectators. The playing surface is synthetic turf, and a four-story press tower rises above the main stand.
The stadium opened on September 26, 1958, and was named after F. Page Seibert, who funded the completion of the construction in 1961. Over the following decades the facility was updated several times to meet the growing demands of college athletics.
The stadium is home to Samford University's football team, and on game days the stands fill with students, families, and alumni. The atmosphere in the seats is close and familiar, as one would expect from a campus venue.
The stadium sits directly on the Samford University campus and can be reached on foot from most university buildings. On game days it is best to arrive early, as parking around the grounds fills up quickly.
In 1994, a game featuring future NFL quarterback Steve McNair, who was then playing for Alcorn State, drew more than 11,000 fans to the venue. That crowd was far larger than the normal capacity and remains one of the biggest in the stadium's history.
