Rotary Trail Park, Linear park and public art installation in downtown Birmingham, United States.
Rotary Trail Park is a linear park and public art installation stretching roughly half a mile through downtown Birmingham. It connects multiple neighborhoods and features sculptures, painted walls, and walking and cycling paths designed for everyday use.
The park was created in 2016 as a centennial gift from the Birmingham Rotary Club to the city. An abandoned railroad corridor was transformed into this green public space through their initiative.
Local artists created the sculptures and murals you see here, showing how the community expresses itself through art. As you walk, you notice how these pieces shape the character of the entire space.
The park is easy to walk or bike through, with flat paths that work for any fitness level. It sits between easy-to-reach city landmarks, making it simple to fit into your day.
The park includes a water filtration system built into the ground that removes pollution from the nearby stream. This hidden feature works quietly beneath the surface while you enjoy the walking paths and art.
