Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk, spent approximately 50 years creating this miniature landscape between 1932 and 1961. His dedicated craftsmanship eventually led to the site's recognition as an entry on the National Register of Historic Places.
The collection displays reproductions of significant religious sites like Saint Peter's Basilica and ancient Jerusalem, which together represent a global network of faith-centered places.
