Cidade da Criança

Cidade da Criança is an amusement park in São Bernardo do Campo with several themed areas, including an Amazon region and a railroad recreation from the Madeira-Mamoré line. The grounds span a large area with over 30 different attractions for visitors of all ages.

The park was founded in 1968 on the grounds of the former Vera Cruz Film Studios and was the first theme park in Latin America. This establishment marked a new approach to entertainment in the region.

The park displays a miniature city with traditional architecture from São Paulo state, originally constructed for a television production. Visitors can walk through these recreated structures and see how regional buildings were designed.

The grounds are easy to navigate with clear signage between the different themed areas and attractions. It is best to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water, especially on warm days.

The park contains a submarine installation with 2.75 million liters of water, which was the first of its kind on the southern hemisphere. This attraction remains a distinctive feature that many visitors overlook.
