Pinacoteca de São Bernardo do Campo

The Pinacoteca is an art museum in Sao Bernardo do Campo with four exhibition spaces and a sculpture garden. The collection features approximately 1,500 works created by around 575 national and international artists.

The museum was founded in 1975, building on a collection assembled in the late 1960s under Mayor Tito Costa. This initial gathering focused on prominent Brazilian artists of that period.

The institution regularly features works by both established and emerging contemporary artists in its rotating displays. A specialized art library invites visitors to explore deeper connections with the works on view.

The museum is located in the Jardim do Mar district and opens Tuesday through Friday. Admission is free, allowing visitors to explore both the interior galleries and outdoor spaces at their own pace.

The outdoor sculpture garden displays permanent pieces set within a natural setting, featuring works by artists such as Alcindo Moreira Filho and Antonio Vivancos. This open-air gallery creates an uncommon experience where art and surroundings blend together.
