York Park

York Park is a sports venue in Launceston, Australia, with permanent seating for up to 19,500 spectators. The facility primarily serves Australian Football League games and other events in the city.

The site developed from marshland into Launceston's showgrounds starting in 1874 and officially became York Park in 1921. Later upgrades transformed the site into a modern multi-purpose stadium for sporting events.

As the venue for Hawthorn Football Club matches, the stadium connects locals to Australian rules football each game day. The name recalls the York Park Cricket Ground and now stands for sporting events in Tasmania.
