Riverside Centre, Brisbane

Riverside Centre is a 40-story commercial tower with a distinctive triangular footprint that responds to its riverside location. The structure combines office space with public plazas and landscaped areas accessible to everyone.

The tower was completed in 1986 during Brisbane's economic expansion driven by the mining and property boom of that decade. Its construction reflects the financial strength the city gained during this growth period.

The building weaves commercial spaces with public areas where office workers and visitors naturally gather throughout the day. The planted zones and water features inside create a social hub for the surrounding district.

The center sits on Eagle Street with straightforward access to public transport and proximity to the riverside walkway. Different entrances serve various areas, making it easy to navigate on foot.

The tower features refined granite finishes that catch the light subtly and give the facade a refined appearance. This careful material choice by architect Harry Seidler emphasized craftsmanship and durability in the design.
