Soleil, Residential skyscraper in Brisbane, Australia
Soleil is a residential tower in Brisbane's business district, rising 74 floors above ground with 7 floors below. It contains around 460 apartments of varying sizes and configurations spread across the entire height of the structure.
Construction began in 2009 and the building was completed in 2011, briefly holding the title of Brisbane's tallest structure. Within two years, another tower surpassed its height.
The building represents a milestone in Brisbane's urban development, featuring 25 floors of serviced apartments and 43 floors of private residential spaces.
The building features an indoor swimming pool, spa facilities, sauna, and a gym within its structure. The nearest railway station is about 900 meters away, making it easy to reach the city center.
Building this structure required one of Brisbane's largest excavations ever to create a ten-level parking garage beneath the tower. This underground work reveals the engineering challenges of construction in a developed city center.
