Venetian Waterway Park, Linear hiking trail in Venice, Florida, US
The Venetian Waterway Park extends for 10 miles with parallel paths on both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway, connecting Caspersen Beach to Shamrock Park.
The recreational path system was developed through cooperation between Venice Area Beautification Inc, municipal authorities, and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation to enhance public spaces.
Multiple interpretive markers along the trail inform visitors about local wildlife, waterway operations, and the environmental significance of the Florida coastal ecosystem.
Seven dedicated parking areas, multiple access points, and connections to public transportation make the trail accessible for visitors arriving from different locations.
The trail connects directly to the Legacy Trail at the Historic Venice Train Depot, creating a continuous 23-mile path network through Sarasota County.
