The Tampa Bay History Center spans three floors with 25,000 square feet of exhibition space dedicated to Florida's Gulf Coast regional heritage.
Established in 1989 as the History Museum of Tampa-Hillsborough County, the institution received its current name in 1993 and moved to its waterfront location in 2009.
The Touchton Map Library maintains a collection of 8,000 maps and charts from North American and European explorations, documenting geographical discoveries through centuries.
The museum welcomes visitors daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, with adult admission at $16.95 and reduced rates for seniors, students, military personnel, and children.
The center houses a branch of the Columbia Restaurant, where visitors can taste traditional Spanish and Cuban dishes while overlooking Tampa's waterfront.
