Visitors can access 4.7 miles of boardwalks, fishing piers, paddling trails, and observation platforms throughout the natural environment without admission fees.
The preserve functions as a natural floodplain, protecting nearby developments from storm surges while providing habitats for oysters, stingrays, and small sharks.
