The 80-acre park contains 40 acres of pine flatwoods and oak hammocks, preserving the battleground of the Second Seminole War conflict of 1835.
The site marks where Seminole warriors engaged with Major Francis L. Dade's troops on December 28, 1835, leading to the Second Seminole War.
The park maintains a visitor center with exhibits about the Seminole Wars and presents educational programs about Native American and military history.
Located between Interstate 75 and US Route 301, the park opens daily from 8 AM to sunset, with a visitor center operating from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The Dade Battlefield Society organizes annual battle reenactments during the weekend after Christmas, featuring period-accurate military and Native American demonstrations.
