Blue on the Bay

Blue on the Bay is a residential tower in Edgewater with 37 floors rising approximately 425 feet (130 meters), combining housing units with retail space. The structure sits on Northeast 5th Avenue with commercial areas occupying the first three levels and residential apartments filling the floors above.

The tower was completed in 2005 during a major construction period that transformed Miami's northern neighborhoods. This building boom reshaped Edgewater into a new residential hub for the growing city.

The architectural firm Arquitectonica shaped the design to reflect Miami's changing tastes in contemporary residential living during the early 2000s. The building demonstrates the city's embrace of bold, modern forms in waterfront neighborhoods.

The building sits directly on a main avenue and is easy to spot from the street with its retail level accessible to visitors. The location offers clear views of the waterfront area and surrounding neighborhoods from ground level.

The top floor includes an observation deck with views stretching across Biscayne Bay, Interstate-195, and the neighborhoods beyond. From this vantage point, visitors can see how the waterway and highway frame Miami's northern districts.
