McKee Botanical Garden extends across 18 acres of tropical land, containing more than 10,000 native and exotic plant species throughout its network of paths.
Founded in 1932 by Arthur McKee and Waldo Sexton, the garden initially operated as McKee Jungle Gardens, housing various exotic animals and drawing 100,000 visitors yearly.
The Hall of Giants features a 35-foot mahogany table, stained glass windows, and cathedral ceilings, representing exceptional craftsmanship and architectural design.
The garden welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from noon to 5 PM, with admission fees of $15 for adults.
The garden maintains one of the largest collections of water lilies in the Southeast United States, featuring 100 different varieties across multiple ponds.
