Lynn University, Private university in Boca Raton, United States.
Lynn University is a higher education institution in Boca Raton, Florida, offering degree programs across six academic colleges. Around 3,520 students study on the roughly 115-acre (47-hectare) grounds among brick buildings with palm gardens and modern classrooms.
The institution began in 1962 as Marymount College and was founded by a Catholic religious order. Nearly 30 years later, it received its current name in 1991 and evolved into an independent institution.
The campus brings together people from more than 100 countries and serves as a meeting point for international exchange in daily life. Students often switch between several languages while walking through residence halls and along paths between buildings.
All undergraduate students receive an iPad for coursework and can use it throughout their studies. The library and common spaces offer workstations with technical equipment for projects and research.
In October 2012, the performing arts center hosted the final televised debate between the two presidential candidates. Thousands of journalists and spectators arrived on campus for the broadcast.
