Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Steel roller coaster in Magic Kingdom and Shanghai Disneyland Park, US and China
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a steel roller coaster located in two Disney theme parks. The ride runs along a track measuring roughly 2,000 feet (610 meters) and reaches speeds around 34 mph (55 km/h).
The Magic Kingdom installation opened in 2014 during the New Fantasyland expansion project. Shanghai Disneyland introduced its version two years later when the park opened to guests.
The attraction incorporates elements from Walt Disney's 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, including audio-animatronic characters and original songs.
Riders must be at least 38 inches (97 cm) tall to board the trains. Each train holds 20 passengers seated in two rows per car.
The cars tilt from side to side during the ride, mimicking the sway of real mine carts. This technology blends traditional coaster mechanics with a swinging motion that adds an extra layer of movement.
