Daytona 500 Experience

The Daytona 500 Experience is an automobile museum at Daytona International Speedway with interactive exhibits, racing simulators, and displays of NASCAR vehicles and motorsports memorabilia. The exhibition spans multiple rooms and showcases both modern and historic racing cars from different eras.

The facility opened in 1996 as Daytona USA, replacing a smaller two-story visitor center that previously occupied the site. The museum earned a Thea Award from the Themed Entertainment Association in 1997 and became a major destination for racing fans.

The Walk of Fame honors drivers and figures who shaped racing history with plaques and statues throughout the grounds. You can see how central this track is to American racing culture as you walk past these memorials.

The museum sits directly on the speedway grounds and is easy to reach when visiting the track. The indoor halls make it comfortable to explore the exhibits year-round regardless of weather conditions.

The museum displayed each year's winning Daytona 500 car in its unaltered post-race condition, complete with visible race debris and victory lane confetti. This practice captured the raw emotion and intensity of each race through the vehicles themselves.
