Hargray Capitol Theatre

The Hargray Capitol Theatre is a music venue in downtown Macon with two floors, an open layout on the ground level, and roughly 273 seats in the upper balcony. The building holds modern sound equipment and can accommodate up to 650 guests for live performances and film screenings.

The building opened as a theater in 1916 with leather seats and innovative mushroom-shaped ventilation vents in the ceiling. Before becoming an entertainment venue, it had served as a bank and shoe factory, and was equipped with air conditioning by 1917.
