Congaree Golf Club is a private Tom Fazio course on a historic estate outside Ridgeland, South Carolina, surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of lakes and longleaf pine forest. The championship layout measures 7,655 yards, the longest in the state, with a course rating of 76.0 and a slope of 140. Its clubhouse is a long white building with a columned portico, a clock cupola and dormer windows.

The land was granted to John Hobard in 1770. From 1811 to 1828 it passed through three owners, and Richard James Davant renamed it Davant Plantation. In 1865 Maj. Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman ordered the Greek Revival house burned; Davant then moved a circa-1820 house from another plantation to the site. From 1938 to 1991 the Moores ran it as a quail hunting preserve, and in 2014 a developer bought the property and created Congaree.

The Congaree Foundation identifies and supports high school students showing golf talent through education, mentoring, and equipment assistance. The organization focuses on developing young athletes while teaching them practical life skills beyond the sport.

This is a private club with restricted access and not open to the general public. Spring and fall offer the most comfortable playing conditions and are generally the best times to visit.

The 18th-century Greek Revival house on the grounds was burned in 1865 by order of Maj. Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman; only two auxiliary buildings survived. The owner then moved a smaller circa-1820 house from another of his plantations to the site piece by piece. In 1995 the house served as the main filming location for Something to Talk About with Julia Roberts.
