The Kazoo Museum in Beaufort houses a collection spanning different styles and shapes of this simple wind instrument, from vintage models to contemporary versions. The building also contains the production facility where the instruments are manufactured.

A forerunner was created by television personality Boaz Frankel in Seattle in 2007, moved to Portland in 2008, and held about 100 kazoos. Invited by Kazoobie Kazoos, founded in 1997 by Rick Hubbard and Gayle Andrus, the collection moved to Beaufort and opened on October 6, 2010, with a ribbon-cutting attended by Frankel and the company's owners.

The collection includes a kazoo used on the television program The Partridge Family, kazoos shaped like cartoon characters, electric kazoos and instruments over 100 years old. Visitors can also tour the working Kazoobie Kazoos factory to see how kazoos are made today.

The museum sits inside the Kazoobie Kazoos factory at 6,500 square feet of warehouse and showroom, so allow time to walk both the glass-cased collection and the working production floor. The collection is held in a dedicated building on the factory grounds; ask at the gift shop, added in 2010, about seeing the factory floor.
