The Saloon, Blues bar in North Beach, San Francisco, US.
The Saloon features traditional wooden fixtures, a long bar counter, and maintains the same architectural elements from its 1870s construction period.
Established in 1861 by Ferdinand E. Wagner, a French immigrant, The Saloon stands as the oldest continuously operating bar in San Francisco.
The venue presents daily blues performances by local musicians, contributing to San Francisco's music scene since the early days of African American artists.
Located at 1232 Grant Avenue, The Saloon welcomes visitors every day from noon until 1:30 AM with live music sessions.
The original wooden bar was manufactured outside the United States and transported to San Francisco for installation in 1860.
