Kistler Vineyards

Kistler Vineyards is a winery at Trenton Roadhouse in the Russian River Valley with fifteen vineyard sites stretching from Carneros to Sonoma Valley. The operation focuses on producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir using grapes from these varied locations.

The vineyard was founded in 1978 and operated under Steve Kistler's direction until 2017. That year Jason Kesner took over control of production and farming operations.

The winery focuses on making Chardonnay from a single California heritage grape variety grown across multiple vineyard sites throughout the region. You can see how these specialized growing areas shape the character of all their production.

Visitors should book wine tastings from Tuesday to Saturday, which begin with a walk through the vineyards. The tasting includes four Chardonnay selections and one Pinot Noir.

The underground barrel rooms contain specific biological elements that influence the natural fermentation of their Chardonnays. These natural conditions from below ground play an important role in developing the wine's flavor.
