Apple Campus, Corporate headquarters building complex in Cupertino, United States
Apple Campus is a corporate headquarters complex in Cupertino, California, that centers on a ring-shaped building roughly 0.5 miles (0.8 kilometers) in diameter. The structure rises four floors above ground and descends several levels below, with walls made almost entirely of curved glass panels that follow the circular path.
The project began with the purchase of land once occupied by a different technology company and received city approval in 2013. Construction ran from 2014 until 2017, replacing the former campus that had served the company since the 1990s.
The campus name honors the company's co-founder and reflects his vision of blending nature with workspace design. The circular form recalls a spaceship, a comparison that visitors often make when seeing the main ring from a distance.
The main complex remains closed to the public, but a visitor center near the entrance offers views from a rooftop terrace. The area around the center includes parking and can be reached by car or local transit within the city.
The site includes a fitness center with a pool open year round and a theater designed as a separate glass cylinder. Every workstation inside has access to natural light, with no desk located farther than 30 feet (9 meters) from a window.
