Our Lady of Peace Shrine, Catholic shrine in Santa Clara, US
The Our Lady of Peace Shrine features a 32-foot stainless steel statue of Mary, Mother of Jesus, weighing 7,200 pounds on a landscaped mound.
Father Joseph G. Sullivan established the church in 1961, while Father John Joseph Sweeny initiated the construction of the statue, completed by Charles Parks in 1983.
The shrine maintains continuous Eucharistic adoration since 1976, with over 300 parishioners participating in weekly prayer sessions throughout the year.
The shrine remains open 24 hours daily, offering regular Mass services, a gift shop with religious items, and convenient access from San Jose International Airport.
Located in Silicon Valley, this Marian shrine stands among technology companies and serves as a spiritual center near Mission College and Levi Stadium.
