Shotgun Players, Theater venue in Berkeley, United States

Shotgun Players is a theatre company whose main stage is the Ashby Stage in Berkeley's Lorin District, near the Ashby BART station. The company produces six to seven shows per season, staging classics and newly commissioned works; since 2015 it has also run a rehearsal studio and workshop at 1201 University Avenue, the former Serendipity Books building.

Founded in 1992 by Patrick Dooley and ten actors, the company spent over a decade performing in temporary spaces across Berkeley. The group established a permanent home at Ashby Stage in 2004 after occupying 44 different locations.

The Ashby Stage also hosts the Champagne Staged Reading Series, and in 2015 the company devoted a whole season to plays by women, with six full productions and six staged readings. Its 2016 season was performed in repertory for the company's 25th anniversary.

The venue sits near Ashby BART station, making it accessible by public transportation. Visitors should check ahead for current production schedules and seating information before attending.

In December 2007 the Ashby Stage became the first live theatre venue in the United States to convert fully to solar power. The building also hosts the company's Champagne Staged Reading Series alongside main-stage shows.
