Oak Ridge High School is a public secondary school in El Dorado Hills, California, serving students from grade 8 through grade 12. The school offers core subjects alongside foreign language classes in Japanese, Italian, French, and Spanish, as well as Advanced Placement courses that can count toward college credit.
The school opened in 1980 with just over 200 students and grew steadily in the following decades. It has since become a fixture in the El Dorado Hills community, educating generations of local students.
The school colors of navy blue and gold appear throughout the campus, from sports uniforms to painted walls. Drama, music, and art programs bring students and their families together on a regular basis.
The school is located on Harvard Way in a residential part of El Dorado Hills and is most easily reached by car. Visitors should check in with the front office before entering the campus, as access is generally managed from there.
The football team won two state championships in the early 2000s, and the swim teams also earned state titles that brought national recognition to the school. Several alumni went on to compete at the college level and in professional leagues.
