Hatfield-Dowlin Complex, Football training center at University of Oregon, Eugene, United States.
Hatfield-Dowlin Complex is a football training facility at the University of Oregon featuring a contemporary black granite and glass design. The building houses training areas, meeting spaces, and administrative offices dedicated to the university's football program.
The complex was designed by ZGF Architects and completed in 2013 thanks to a major donation. It was named in honor of the mothers of donors Phil and Penny Knight.
The exterior design features textured black glass panels and 40-foot cantilevers, reflecting the determination and power of the Oregon Ducks football team.
The facility includes a theater with 170 seats, weight and training rooms, and locker areas for athletes. Visitors should know that most spaces are dedicated to active training and public access may be limited.
Below the complex lie specialized plunge pools and a diagnostic timing track used for precise training measurements. The facility also has synthetic turf fields that allow year-round training regardless of weather conditions.
