Lake Harriet, reservoir in Oregon, United States
Lake Harriet is a reservoir in Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, situated at about 2,000 feet elevation. The water body spans roughly 22 acres and is surrounded by alder and pine trees, with a boat ramp, fishing dock, and calm water suitable for multiple outdoor pursuits.
The reservoir was created to serve as a water source for the surrounding community. Over decades, it became an established recreational destination and fishing location in the Mt. Hood area.
The site is easily accessible with parking available and a campground featuring eight sites staffed from late May through September. Picnic tables and benches are provided, and a ranger station about six miles west offers information, supplies, and assistance.
The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout, and the nearby Oak Grove Fork of the Clackamas River offers opportunities to catch steelhead, chinook salmon, and kokanee salmon. The adjacent Bull of the Woods Wilderness with hiking trails and the forested setting frequented by bald eagles and northern spotted owls creates a diverse natural area.
