The eight-story Renaissance Revival building features grey Wilkerson sandstone exterior walls, classical triglyphs, and ornate bronze entrance doors.
Construction of this federal courthouse began in 1932 and required just over one year to complete at a total cost of 1.5 million dollars.
The courthouse interior displays multiple marble varieties, including Brown Nebo Golden Travis, Pink Kasota Fleuri, and Red Nebo Golden Travis throughout its spaces.
Located at 620 SW Main Street, this 117,000-square-foot building contains eight courtrooms and formerly housed the United States District Court for Oregon.
The cornerstone contains a time capsule filled with daily newspapers, historical documents, and photographs of the architect and partners from 1932.
