Providence Park, Sports stadium in Portland, United States
Providence Park is a stadium in Goose Hollow in Portland, Oregon. The east side grandstand rises across three covered levels, while the main section rests on traditional wooden benches.
The site was formerly a Chinese vegetable garden before the facility opened in 1926. The name changed several times until it became Providence Park.
The club name Timbers recalls Oregon's timber industry. The team and its supporters have made local soccer culture a regular part of city life.
The facility sits in Goose Hollow and holds more than 25,000 spectators. Around 150 events take place here throughout the year, including soccer matches and other gatherings.
A group of feral cats has lived at the facility since the 1980s. They keep the rodent population on the grounds under control naturally.
