Admiral Apartments, Tudor Revival apartment building in South Park Blocks, Portland, United States
The five-story brick building features a red face brick facade, cement plaster exterior, and a crenelated parapet at 910 SW Park Avenue.
Emil Schacht designed the structure in 1909 as the Wheeldon Apartment Building, which later became Glen Court before receiving its current name in 1929.
The transformation from luxury residences to subsidized housing reflects Portland's changing social dynamics throughout the twentieth century in the Cultural District.
The property currently offers studio apartments of 475 square feet and one-bedroom units of 650 square feet for low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The building retains its original Tudor-style arch entrance and automatic elevator system while incorporating modern amenities such as internet access in each unit.
