Moda Center, Indoor sports arena in Rose Quarter, Portland, US
The Moda Center is an indoor arena in Rose Quarter, Portland, offering space for up to 20,000 spectators depending on the event. The facility features three levels with walkways, dining areas, and bars distributed across eight floors.
The arena opened its doors in October 1995 after construction was completed in the mid-nineties. The name changed several times over the decades while the building itself remained largely unaltered.
The local basketball team plays its home games in this arena and shapes game day with its fans. On other evenings the space transforms into a concert stage where international artists perform before large audiences.
The nearest light rail stations are only a few minutes' walk from the entrance and allow quick arrival. Inside the building, WiFi, restroom facilities, and refreshment stands are available across multiple levels.
A special curtain setup allows the arena to be converted for smaller events with around 6,500 seats. This conversion changes the acoustics and creates a more intimate setting for certain concerts.
