L. L. "Stub" Stewart State Park, State park in Oregon, United States.
L. L. "Stub" Stewart State Park is a large protected area in Oregon with forested terrain, rolling hills, and flowing streams. The property spans approximately 1,800 acres and offers over 40 kilometers (25 miles) of trails suitable for walking and horseback riding.
The park was established in 2007 to honor Loran L. Stewart, a supporter of Oregon's park system. Its creation marks the state's commitment to protecting natural spaces for public use.
The Discovery Depot center presents exhibits about local wildlife, vegetation, and regional heritage, educating visitors about Pacific Northwest environments.
The park has camping areas with full hookups for RVs, tent spaces, cabins, and dedicated facilities for visitors with horses. Plan ahead as different zones serve different activities and it helps to understand the layout before arriving.
The park contains two disc golf courses set among the trees: an 18-hole course near the Hilltop area and a smaller 3-hole course by the amphitheater. These recreational spaces offer a playful alternative to traditional hiking.
