Deer Park Campground

Deer Park Campground is a basic camping area at 5,400 feet elevation nestled in the Olympic Mountains. It provides 14 tent sites equipped with fire rings and picnic tables set within the mountain terrain.

This campground was established as part of efforts to protect Washington State's mountain landscapes and make them available to the public. It developed during a period when Olympic National Park itself was expanding and developing visitor facilities.

This site sits within Olympic National Park, a protected area valued for its varied ecosystems and mountain environment. Visitors come to experience the remote landscape and connect with the surrounding wilderness.

The site operates from June through mid-October on a first-come basis with no advance reservations available. Access requires careful driving on a steep, narrow gravel road that is unsuitable for large recreational vehicles.

The access road is intentionally kept steep and unpaved to limit visitation and preserve the remote setting. This natural barrier excludes large recreational vehicles and encourages visitors to take their time with the journey.
