South Surrey Park and Ride

South Surrey Park and Ride is a transit hub in British Columbia where drivers can leave their cars and transfer to bus lines. The facility offers four bus bays and several hundred parking spaces positioned near major traffic routes in the region.

The station first opened in 1991 at a different location in South Surrey before being relocated to serve the area better. The move in the mid-2000s allowed the facility to expand and handle growing transportation demand across the region.

The transportation hub supports environmental initiatives by encouraging carpooling through designated priority spaces and connections to regional public transit networks.

The facility operates throughout the day and offers straightforward conditions for drivers choosing to transfer. Visitors should arrive early during morning commute times, as the bus areas get busy during peak hours.

The site features digital displays that show real-time information about bus departures, helping passengers plan their connections. These live departure boards make it one of the few hubs in Metro Vancouver with this current technology.
