Bentall 5, Modern office skyscraper in Downtown Vancouver, Canada
Bentall 5 is a modern office tower on Burrard Street in Downtown Vancouver, built with concrete, aluminum, and glass. It rises 35 floors above ground and extends seven levels below street level, where parking and retail space are located.
The tower was built in two separate phases, with the first 22 floors completed in 2002. The remaining 13 floors were added some years later, bringing the building to its current height.
The tower serves as a hub for financial companies and houses branches of major international corporations. The building defines Vancouver's business district and is a daily workplace for thousands of employees.
The tower connects directly to Burrard SkyTrain Station through an underground passage, so you can arrive without stepping outside. This underground route also links to a network of shops and food options beneath the city center.
The building was used as a filming location for the 2014 RoboCop film, standing in for the headquarters of a fictional corporation. Visitors who know the movie may recognize the facade as they walk along Burrard Street.
