Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel, Downtown casino and hotel in Las Vegas, United States
Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel is a 24-story casino and hotel in downtown Las Vegas. The building features gaming tables, slot machines, multiple restaurants throughout its floors, and the recently reopened Hotel Apache with around 80 rooms.
Benny Binion opened this casino in 1951 and introduced innovations like carpeted floors and air conditioning that were new to Las Vegas casinos at the time. These features shaped how casinos looked and operated for decades to come.
The World Series of Poker started here in 1970, transforming this place into the global hub for professional poker players. Today, both amateurs and professionals come to participate in or witness the tournament that defines modern poker culture.
The casino operates 24 hours a day, year-round, providing access to gaming tables, restaurants, and hotel rooms. Keep in mind that this place gets crowded and loud, especially during major poker tournaments and weekend evenings.
Behind protective glass, the Million Dollar Display exhibition shows real currency in various denominations adding up to one million dollars. This unusual display has become a memorable part of the property that many visitors seek out during their visit.
