The complex combines accommodations, dining areas, gaming sections, and a large-scale pool facility within a single structure.
The establishment opened on August 30, 1946, marking an important stage in the growth of the gambling industry in the city. Over the decades, the property expanded several times and became a fixture in the downtown area.
The casino's name comes from the Hand of Faith, an 875-troy-ounce gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 and displayed in the lobby since 1981. Frank Sinatra headlined here periodically, and Bruce Willis and Demi Moore married at the hotel in 1987. The 2004 Fox series The Casino followed Timothy Poster and Thomas Breitling after their 2003 purchase.
The building sits directly on Fremont Street Experience and offers easy walking access to pedestrian zones and nearby attractions in the center. The lobby and entrance areas remain open all day and connect directly to the different sections of the property.
The pool area spans three stories and includes an aquarium holding around 757,000 liters (200,000 gallons), where sharks swim and can be viewed through a transparent slide. Guests can slide through this tube and pass directly alongside the fish.
