The venue opened in 1952 as Bikini cinema showing Western films before being renamed Beverley in 1970. This change reflected a shift in the content displayed on its screen.

The establishment remained a fixture of Parisian cinema until 2019, representing the last surviving adult theater in the French capital.

The theater screened two different 35mm films each week with regular shows and special events held on Thursdays and Saturdays. Its location in the 2nd arrondissement made it accessible to those exploring that central Paris neighborhood.
