The name Devils Hill originated from a local tale involving an encounter between a resident and supernatural forces after a dance in the 1800s.

The waterfall requires a 230-meter walk from New Boston Road, crossing a small bridge before reaching the viewing locations.
The total elevation change of 12.5 meters includes an intermediate cascade section between two primary ledge waterfalls.
