False Kiva

False Kiva is a rock shelter in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, containing a manmade circular stone arrangement inside a shallow cave. The shelter opens through an arched entrance onto a sandstone ledge with views across broad canyon systems and distant mesas carved by the Colorado and Green rivers.

Archaeological evidence suggests early inhabitants of the region used the site, though the purpose of the stone circle remains unclear. The modern name reflects its visual similarity to ceremonial chambers without the specific construction methods found in authentic Pueblo religious buildings.
