Torrance County

Torrance County is an administrative division in central New Mexico with Estancia as its county seat. The region covers extensive land and functions as a formal governmental area.

The region emerged as an established county in 1903 following railway expansion into the area. Estancia was chosen as the governmental center when the county was officially created.

Arthur Park serves as a gathering place where residents fish, play sports, and celebrate together. The space shows how the community uses its resources for recreation and social connection.

State Route 41 connects Estancia to major transportation networks for easier access. A municipal airport provides an alternative way to reach the county seat.
