Hoyt Radio Tower

The Hoyt Radio Tower is a broadcasting mast located near Hoyt in Colorado that serves multiple radio stations. This steel structure rises prominently above the surrounding plains and houses transmission equipment for regional communications.

The facility was built in 2003 by Acme Towers LLC and has served the region's broadcasting needs since its completion. It also supports emergency communication services for local authorities in the area.

The tower structure represents modern engineering achievements in communication infrastructure, standing as a technical landmark in the Colorado plains.

The structure is visible from Colorado State Highway 52 while driving through the eastern plains. Since this is an active broadcasting facility, close approach to the tower itself is not permitted.

Unlike typical broadcasting masts with red and white stripes, this installation uses only strobe lights for aircraft safety warnings. This makes it particularly noticeable in the night sky.
